How reflexology can support wellbeing and resilience, especially during the winter months.

Stressed? Overwhelmed? Tired?
This time of year, the days get shorter and the temperatures drop. The build-up to Christmas can be challenging, even the nice parts.
For some, gatherings and parties can be socially exhausting. Others may be feeling anxious about facing their first Christmas without a friend or loved one. Some may have demanding targets and deadlines at work that need to be met before the end of the year.
Whatever the reason, it’s easy to put ourselves at the bottom of the list, push through and tell ourselves we’ll relax when everything else is done.
You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted to take care of yourself.
45 minutes just for you.
Imagine putting your phone away, getting comfortable and allowing yourself 45 minutes where nothing is expected of you. No messages to answer, no jobs to tick off. Just time to be still and let your mind wander.
During a reflexology treatment, gentle pressure is applied to specific points on the feet that, according to reflexology principles, correspond to different parts of the body.
You may find your thoughts becoming quieter, your mind drifting or even dipping in and out of sleep. There’s no right or wrong way to experience it. It’s simply time to slow down, feel cared for and enjoy a little breathing space from everyday life.
Making this time for yourself a regular part of your routine can be a lovely way to priorities your own wellbeing, rather than waiting until you’re running on empty.
If you’d like to give yourself a little time to switch off this winter, I’d love to welcome you for a reflexology treatment at The Tree Room. Get in touch to find out more or book your 45 minutes of time just for you.
