1. Introduction

 

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all private individual or group yoga sessions arranged through Shinboku Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By making a booking, you (“you” or “the Client”) confirm that you accept these Terms.

 

Shinboku Ltd acts solely as an agent, introducing clients to independent, self-employed yoga teachers (“Teachers”). The contract for the delivery of yoga services is between you and the individual Teacher, not Shinboku Ltd.

2. Our Role as Agent

 

2.1 Shinboku Ltd does not provide services directly.

2.2 We act only as an introducing agent, arranging for you to access services delivered by independent Teachers.

2.3 Your contract for instruction is with the Teacher, not with us.

2.4 We may assist in taking payment on behalf of the Teacher but do not control or supervise the services provided.

3. Teacher Responsibility

3.1 Teachers are solely responsible for:

• Conducting all sessions safely and professionally

• Ensuring their own insurance, training, and health & safety practices

• Handling complaints, concerns, or claims arising from their services

• Complying with applicable laws and professional standards

3.2 We make reasonable efforts to ensure Teachers are appropriately qualified and insured, but we do not guarantee their services or outcomes.

4. Payments and Fees

 

4.1 Prices for sessions will be communicated to you before booking.

4.2 Payments may be taken by Shinboku Ltd as agent for the Teacher.

4.3 Payments must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.

4.4 The Teacher is entitled to receive an amount agreed between themelves and Shiboku Ltd for sessions, with the remaining balance retained by Shinboku Ltd as commission.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

5.1 You may cancel or reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice to receive a full refund or reschedule.

5.2 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

5.3 If a Teacher cancels a session, we will offer to reschedule, arrange an alternative Teacher, or provide a full refund.

6. Health and Participation

6.1 You confirm that:

• You are fit to participate in yoga sessions

• You will inform the Teacher of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations prior to the session

• You participate in yoga sessions at your own risk

6.2 Some services involve physical activity and carry some risk of injury. You should consult your doctor if unsure about your suitability to participate.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Shinboku Ltd is not responsible for:

• The quality or outcome of the session

• Any injury, loss, or damage suffered during or after a session

• The conduct or performance of the Teacher

7.2 Our liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the session. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.

 

 

8. Data Protection

 

8.1 We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

8.2 We share your information only with the assigned Teacher for the purpose of delivering your session.

8.4 By booking, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
