Summer Solstice - 108 Sun Salutations

Join Shane to flow through 108 rounds of the Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutations.

It has long been a tradition in yoga and other eastern practices to perform this moving meditation as a way to celebrate the change of the season and to express gratitude for all that we have around us as we cleanse the body and mind and detach from the outside world.

"Why 108?! That's mad!" I hear you say.

Well, 108 is considered in many traditions as a sacred number. There are links to the universe, to creation and to the infinite possibilities in life itself. Not to mention 108 Upanishads, 108 named Deities, 108 postures and the links to the sun, moon and earth.
