Meditation and Mindfulness

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

Being mindful involves being aware of your environment and thoughts and just letting it be. Mindfulness teaches individuals ways to reduce stress and live a happier and calmer life.

We can often get too absorbed and distracted by our own thoughts that we forget life’s benefits and delights. Mindfulness involves letting go of thoughts and finding calmness in the midst of life’s difficulties. It enables you to respond more effectively.
